New York Invasive Species Awareness Week (NYISAW) Art Exhibit
New York Invasive Species Awareness Week (NYISAW) is an annual state-wide invasive species outreach campaign that will be observed in 2024 from June 3rd-9th. Oneida County SWCD and the St. Lawrence Eastern Lake Ontario Partnerships for Regional Invasive Species (SLELO PRISM) are inviting community members to participate in an invasive species themed art exhibit in observance of New York Invasive Species Awareness Week.

Who: Anyone of any age
What: Create art using any medium surrounding an invasive species theme.
When: Exhibits to be displayed June 8th, 2024
Where: Oneida County Public Market. @ Union Station, 321 Main St. Utica NY (behind the train station).

Guidelines :

Anyone can contribute art
-
Artwork can be any medium (drawings, paintings, photography, etc.)
-
Art should portray the impacts that invasive species have on the environment, economy or human health; or highlight actions to take to prevent the spread of invasive species; or depict an ecosystem or species impacted by invasive species.

Artwork will not be returned unless requested.
*Artwork cannot be made from invasive species seeds, plant or animal parts*

Entries must be submitted by June 1st. They can be brought to the Public Market that day or to the Oneida County SWCD office at 121 Second St. Oriskany before the 1st.
